Communication
Follow up after an application without turning it into a chase

Give the process room
Wait long enough for an application to be reviewed. Five to seven working days is a reasonable default unless the listing gives a different timeline.
Add one useful detail
Reference the exact role, confirm when you applied and add one sentence that connects your experience to the team's likely need.
- Keep the subject line specific.
- Write to a relevant person only when their role is clear.
- Do not attach new files unless requested.
Know when to stop
